  1. Are the rivers in Japan suitable for hydropower?
  2. Is there a possibility that until these fuels like coal, gas, oil so on, we can not find the way to generate energy without fossil fuels?
  3. It seems contradictory to popularize electric vehicles even though, especially in Japan, we rely on thermal power generation.
  4. Riding bicycle is good for environment, your body, and sometimes even could be faster than car. However, now I can't imagine life without a car in this terrible climate like Kanazawa.
  5. In the lecture, one of the disadvantage of solar energy is that its cost is high, but it is also because solar energy is compact and have a simple structure, solar energy is low cost.(講義の中で,ソーラー発電は費用が高いといわれてましたが,後半の説明で費用が安いとも言われてました.どの点の費用が高く,又安いのでしょうか)

  1. By doing this research, I realized advantages and disadvantages of energy resources are quite similar. They are expensive to install, but clean and good for nature. Therefore, if we look at the long term, I would say renewable energy is better and has lots of potentials?
  2. Since environmental problems are becoming more and more serious, renewable energy is attracting attention. However, I feel the initial investment of renewable energy is expensive so that the countries which can use them are limited. I felt it would be difficult for developing countries to use them. In addition, many renewable energies don't require the impart of fuels like coal and petroleum, so I thought they can be solve the energy shortage in developing countries.
  3. I suggest that using thunder and lightning as energy. I think it has great potential.
  4. I doubt whether it is really possible to convert almost energy to renewable energy in the future. And if it is possible, which energy became a main resource and how technological development is required.
  5. Electric vehicles are widespread not only in Japan but around the world, but since thermal power generation is currently the mainstream in Japan, even if electric vehicles become widespread, I think it is meaningless unless renewable energy is used.
