Introduction | ||
The International Symposium on "the Present Situation of Environment in the Angkor Monument Park and its Environs, Cambodia" will be held on the 17th of March, 2009 at the UNESCO/JASA Central Hall in Siem Reap, and the related Research Seminar will be opened on the 18th of March, 2009 in the Seminar Room of Institute of Technology, Cambodia (ITC) in Phnom Penh. | ||

Objective | ||
The aims of the symposium and seminar are first to open the results of the International Research Mission as the Team ERDAC (Environment Research Development in Angkor, Cambodia: 2006-2009) supported financially by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and established to evaluate of the Present critical situation of the environmental pollution and destruction of the Angkor Monument Park and its environs in Cambodia from various points of scientific view such as atmospheric, water, and forest environments, and second to exchange the information regarding to the environmental pollution and destruction among the participants of the symposium and seminar. In order to promote a vast participation and a better understanding on the present environment of the monument park, everybody who are interested or have involved in the study of the environment are welcome to the symposium and seminar. | ||
